First let’s start by clarifying some terms. Non-governmental organisations (NGO) are organisations, not part of the government, that deal with public and social issues. All NGOs are also non-profit organisations (NPO), which means exactly what it says on the tin – they are not profit seeking, but put all their profits back into their cause.
